Over 150,000 tickets have been snapped up for “The Big Five-0 Tour” – celebrating Cold Chisel’s 50th Anniversary.
16 Australian concerts sold out completely today, including two huge ‘circus tent’ shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, a second Sandalford Wines in Perth plus newly added dates at Mornington Racecourse (VIC) and QUDOS Bank Arena (Sydney).
Fans who sign up to waitlists via the official ticket sellers for each of these sold out shows will receive first alerts on any further ticket releases as production and sightlines are fine tuned.
The tour currently closes at the VAILO Adelaide 500 car race in Cold Chisel’s hometown and tickets remain onsale for that event from Ticketmaster.
“We’ve been completely blown away by the public response today”, said Cold Chisel frontman, Jimmy Barnes. “We know a lot of people missed out and will be feeling disappointed, but the demand has been bigger than we’ve ever seen for any of our other tours. We’re now scrambling to try and add a few more gigs in late November so hopefully we’ll have some more news about that in the coming week.”
