Lady Gaga has shut down speculation that she is expecting her first child.
The 38-year-old pop star, who is in a relationship with Michael Polansky, 46, took to TikTok on Tuesday to address the ongoing whispers that she is pregnant.
Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, first sparked such rumours when she and her partner Michael were snapped at her sister’s wedding.
In the images, the Poker Face singer’s figure appeared to be slightly different, and she was wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger.
The internet went wild after seeing the snaps, and began wondering whether she and Michael were expecting a child together, as well as wondering if they had secretly tied the knot.
However, the pop star isn’t expecting a child and made it very clear in a TikTok video, where she squashed the speculation about her possible pregnancy, complete with a fitting Taylor Swift lyric.
“Not pregnant – just down bad cryin’ at the gym,” she penned over a video of herself smiling to the camera, humorously quoting a line from Taylor’s song Down Bad.
It wasn’t just Taylor’s lyrics that helped Lady Gaga get the message across, as the mega-star herself, who is set to kickstart her Eras Tour in the UK over the next few weeks, also had a few words to say to fans.
Commenting under the TikTok, Taylor, 34, wrote: “Can we all agree that its invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body. Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman.”
Her comment has racked up over 300,000 likes, with the singer also being no stranger to facing comments about her body over her career.
Taylor frequently finds herself in the midst of pregnancy rumours, especially after she began dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.
The Bad Blood singer hasn’t ever publically addressed the speculation, apart from referencing it in her recent track and seemingly as she commented under Lady Gaga’s post.
